Catch-up time!

Wow, so much has happened that I've got to catch up on.... Okay, so here goes. I'll try to go into it all, not promising anything though.


Ok, so let's start at the beginning, just after my last post.

My 8th grade social was awesome. Everyone danced, I ended up kicking off my heels and just dancing my @$$ off all night, it was so fun. I about beat the crap out of Aaron for trying to set me up with a guy, but he ran to the men's room. I'm not THAT daring. Hey, look, a picture!

Okay, on to graduation. I graduated 8th grade, got a stupid little piece of paper with some poem on it (because our school is cheap like that...), and got a music award. I was really excited about that bit, because only three other people in the 8th grade got one. Hey, remember how I mentioned that Aaron tried to set me up with a guy? Yeah, we started dating. Not me and Aaron... Me and the guy.

Anyway, on to the Summer. I went with Girl Scouts to Virginia. It was pretty awesome. We saw some REALLY hot lifeguards at Water Country. The only part that sucked was that they were at the top of the tallest ride.

We also went to Busch Gardens, which was completely epic. I rode Escape to Pompeii, like, seven or eight times. For your amusement, here is a picture:

Also, I found way more happiness than is appropriate for my age in meeting Elmo.

 Yeah, he was shorter than me.

Yup, we had fun there. We rode lots of rides, as is custom in an amusement park.

Let's see.... Oh, also with Girl Scouts, we went to the beach. It was awesome, and I had an abnormal amount of sea salt covering my body by the end of the day. And I was so sunburned it wasn't even funny.

Oh yes, because we're awesome like that.

Whatever. Anyway...

Ummmm.... Oh yeah! I went to the mountains for a week :) It was really fun, but the conditions sucked. My dad apparently finds primitive camping enjoyable. Yeah, no. The up side was that we got to go horseback riding through the mountains. It was awesome :)

And finally, I started 9th grade. That's right, high school. Fun. I do believe I shall post some pictures :)

Braces!

I got my braces today. Oh, joy. My teeth hurt to all get out. Fun, right? I got rubber bands to match my social dress (blue and black). All I can eat for the next few days is mashed potatoes and pasta. Wonderful.

Why do people change for the worst? I want my friend back :(

You're not you anymore. Our duet is just me now. Our inside jokes are meaningless. Our friendship is gone, along with a piece of me.

I want the crazy, stupid, insane guy I used to know. I want the fun guy who jumps at the chance to sing. I want the guy who doesn't ditch his best friend. What happened to that guy? Please let me know. I want him back. If you see him, please let me know. I want the old you. Please.

Language Arts project gone wrong....

In language arts, we had to do this Hunters vs Bears project thing. The task was simple: Create an ad to persuade people either to hunt or not to hunt. Our group was for not hunting.

Keep in mind, this was NOT scripted; Lucas just started randomly saying things in front of the camera. And, well, the rest is history. Extremely funny history. Enjoy!

A Chain Mail Rant (Inspired by Scrambled Megs' Chain Mail Rant)

This is a message for all of you out there who forward chain mail:

STOP

Seriously, don't you have anything better to do with your life? You're not going to freaking die if you don't forward that message. You won't get asked out by your crush if you forward me that load of crap. Your crush's name won't appear on the screen if you do all that stuff they tell you to. You won't have the worst day of your life if you don't re-post that message to my Facebook wall.

Do you have any idea how annoying that is? C'mon, people? Are you really that gullible to believe that some girl is gonna come murder you with a rusty spoon if you don't forward that message? Do you really believe that your cell phone company is going to donate 10 cents to the so-and-so foundation for every time that text is forwarded? Seriously, quit. I mean, I don't forward those messages, and I am very much alive last time I checked.

So, that was my rant. Next time you go to forward chain mail, just think about that.

Exciting news!!!!!!!!!!

Random post. OOH I have something to tell you that I practically jumped up and down in the middle of chorus class when I found out!!!! (I actually did jump up and down in my room when I got home....)

Wait for it.......

I GOT PICKED TO GO TO SOLO AND ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!!

Ok, explanation. Solo and Ensemble festival is when your chorus teacher picks the best in the class to go and do solos, duets, trios (not sure what a group of three singers is called), and quartets. If you get a superior or excellent rating, you get a certificate. We also get to tour our local college music program. IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!!!! I AM SO HAPPY AND EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, everyone! Well, I'm in a skater-girl-chic mood today, inspired by my brother's new skateboard (Which I'm better at using than he'd like to admit). I have four temporary tattoos on my arm, all together so that they look like one. I'll see if I can get a picture of it posted in a minute..... Hmm. Can't find my camera.
